On 17 July 1992, Her Majesty the Queen visited Manchester to officially open the new Mtrolink system.
The dignitaries on the day were presented with a pack of information in a specially designed box.
The box has the occasion embossed in silver on the fron edge, the PTE logo embossed above the front clasp and another PTE embelishment on the rear.
Inside reveals the items made specially for the event, including a 14 page hardback book a complimentary ticket and an enevelope which contains a postcard.
Eac item is separated by an embossed sheet of heavy duty tissue.
The whole item is contained in a box covered in a dark blue fabric with silver coloured metal hinges and clasp.
The item is a little larger than A4 size and 4cms deep.
It is in excellent condition. A rare opportunity to buy an item such as this.
